Quilt pattern maker
Design a quilt block on a 3 by 3 to 6 by 6 grid with half-square triangles and plain squares, in your own fabric colors, and watch it repeat across the whole quilt as you go.
Set the number of blocks and the finished square size to get the size of the quilt top and a cutting list for every piece, then print the block and the layout.
How to use it
Pick fabric A and fabric B, then tap squares in the block: a half-square triangle goes in with A and B, and tapping it again turns it a quarter. Plain squares take fabric A. The quilt below repeats your block, so you can see the secondary patterns that appear where blocks meet.
The list counts every piece for the whole quilt. Cutting sizes use quarter-inch seams: plain squares are cut half an inch bigger than they finish, and half-square triangles are made two at a time from squares cut seven eighths of an inch bigger than the finished square. Add borders and binding on top of the finished size shown.
