Embroidery pattern maker
Make an embroidery pattern from your own words, in script, rounded or print lettering, or from a photo turned into clean lines. It is sized to fit inside a 4 to 8 inch hoop and prints at real size, ready to trace onto fabric.
Tick Mirror it to print a reversed copy for iron-on transfer pens. Nothing is uploaded.
Getting the pattern onto fabric
The dashed circle is the inside of your hoop, printed at its real size, so the design is the size it will be stitched. To trace it, tape the print to a sunny window or a light box, tape the fabric over it, and draw the lines with a water-soluble or heat-erasable pen. With an iron-on transfer pen, tick Mirror it first, trace the lines on the back of the print, and iron it face down.
Script lettering suits a backstitch or a stem stitch; the rounded and print letters can be outlined or filled with satin stitch. For counted work, use the cross stitch pattern maker.
