Color mixer
Mix paint colors on screen before you open the tubes. Add parts of red, yellow, blue, the secondaries, white and black, and see the color they make, with its color code. Or pick a recipe below to start from pink, teal, olive or maroon.

How the paint mixer works
Press + to add a part of a paint and the swatch shows the mix. Parts are by amount: two parts yellow and one part blue is a yellow-green. It mixes like a paint box, in red, yellow and blue, so blue and yellow make green and all three together make a dark brown. Real paints differ by brand and pigment, so use it to plan a mix, then test on paper.
Light mode mixes red, green and blue light the way a screen does, where red and green make yellow. Two colors blends any two color codes, for design work, and gives the code of the result.
For a printable version, with tints, shades and a color wheel, see the color mixing chart.
